Booking a Hotel Los Angeles that doesn’t break the bank can be a challenging task. But Hotel June in West LA is a hip and beautifully designed Hotel that provides just enough luxury comforts, poolside vibes and great food to make any trip to LA a memorable one.
When we look for accommodation we always search out places that are well-designed and offer something more than just a place to lay your head.
We want the Hotel to feel like the place we are visiting and Hotel June in West LA felt every bit the cool Californian vibe that we were looking for on our recent 4-day trip.
La is a sprawling city and location matters. Hotel June is located really close to LAX which made arrival and departure really easy but it felt nothing like an airport hotel. With a city like LA I don’t know how you would see it without your own wheels so while the immediate area around Hotel June was far from special, Venice, Marina Del Ray and Santa Monica were all within a 15-minute drive.
For a car, we used the Turo app for the first time and it was great. We rented a convertible mini for less than the cost of a traditional rental car and it was perfect. So many cool cars and if you want to splash out teher are some amazng luxury cars on the platform.

The Valet service at the hotel charges $45 usd per night and while it didn’t feel cheap, Its LA and I don’t think you’re going to find a valet-type hotel service for less. It offers unlimited ins/outs and the crew was super nice we never waited very long to get the car and it was well worth it.
The common areas of Hotel June are beautifully designed and always had a good buzz to them that made it feel like you were in a cool and happening place which adds to the overall experience.
The “Scenic Route” was the breakfast restaurant just off the lobby and it was always busy and the free unlimited coffee in the morning was a nice touch and we took full advantage of that. The food was great and beautifully presented. The only downside was that you couldn’t order it to your room as it operated independently to the Hotel but if you ordered it to your room, you would miss on on the vibe of the restaurant so its certainly worth coming down for.
The Caravan Swim Club restaurant is located just above the outdoor pool area and the food gets great reviews, we only tried the poolside margaritas and they went down quite nicely. Friday and Saturday there was a live DJ in the afternoon and it was a great touch. Beautiful Californian setting, with great music and it created a great vibe that made hanging by the pool more feel like you were part of something, rather than just a swim.
We stayed in a double twin room on the seventh floor and it was very comfortable. Well designed with nice finishings and touches like bedside wireless chargers. The room we stayed in was starting to show a bit of wear and tear but nothing that was an issue that would keep us from returning.
Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel June as an option if you want to explore the Western side of the city. We found the value for money, when you consider location, amenities and design aesthetic more than worth it and provided a great backdrop for our 4-day trip. memorable.
Overall we think this is one of the Best Hotels in West LA if you are looking for something that won’t break the bank while still providing good amenities and a vibe.
