Located in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is known for its beaches, rivers, Buddhist pagodas and bustling cities.
Vietnam is steeped in history and offers travellers never ending adventure, from the quaint streets of Hoi An to the bustling mega city of Ho Chi Minh. The country’s rural areas are simply stunning and jaw-droppingly beautiful.
Vietnam’s peak tourist season typically spans from November to April. Weather patterns differ across regions. In Hanoi and the northern areas, May to October bring hot and humid conditions with significant rainfall, contrasting with the cooler and drier weather from November to April. December and January can be notably chilly in the far north.
Vietnam is generally safe but there is petty crime and scams in some of the more touristy locations. If you check your home countries travel advisories then you will probably see a warning issued with a high level of risk noted for Vietnam. At Xpolorist we are well-healed travellers and quite often the situation on the ground is much different. There are good and bad people everywhere but socio-economic pressures and changing political landscapes in countries can change things quickly.
