WEATHER
The best time to visit Croatia is in May and June or September and October. During these months, the weather is pleasantly sunny, perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Additionally, these periods are less crowded compared to the high season in July and August, when the temperatures can soar, especially in the afternoons.
For most there’s no need for a specific visa to enter Croatia, just yet. From mid-2025 the ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) comes into effect.
Travel to Croatia is generally considered safe. It is a very well-travelled country with great tourist infrastructure. Normal theft in big cities can happen just like in your home country. Be respectful, keep your wits about you and enjoy the country.
